About AD/PD™
HISTORY
The AD/PD™ Conference began its journey in 1985 in Eilat, Israel, as a focused gathering of around 300 passionate scientists and clinicians dedicated to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Over the past four decades, it has steadily grown alongside the field itself, reflecting major scientific and clinical advances. Today, AD/PD™ brings together nearly 6,000 participants each year, making it one of the world’s leading international meetings in neurodegenerative disease research.
MISSION
At the heart of AD/PD™ is the recognition of the strong biological and clinical overlap between Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, a concept that continues to shape the conference’s identity. AD/PD™ is uniquely committed to bridging basic science and high-level clinical research, fostering meaningful dialogue between laboratory researchers and clinicians. Guided by the motto “Advances in Science and Therapy,” the conference strives for a better future for all those affected by neurodegenerative diseases.
